I posted on an attractive white from Alenquer in the Portugal thread and here is a red which I bought at the same time from a stand at a local food and drink fair. I found the white more distinctive probably because of a cocktail of local grape varieties. The red uses more familiar players and I struggle to identify a sense of place. Blind, I think I would have placed it from somewhere in SW France.
2014 Quinta Dos Platanos Alenquer - Portugal, Lisboa, Alenquer (11/20/2017)Made from Touriga Nacional, Cabernet Sauvignon & Syrah, this was a robust medium+ bodied Atlantic complexioned wine showing round herb infused red fruit, some minerals, decent acidity and ripe tannins. I'm not sure that there is much place distinctiveness but good.
