Dom.Georges Vernay Sainte Agathe AC: Cotes du Rhone (12.5%; T.ElentenyImports) Condrieu 2014: Med.dark color; rather spicy/mineral/graphite/earthy some Syrah/roasted/espresso quite smokey/NorthernRhone bit meaty/smoked meats complex nose; bit soft rather tangy/metallic some roasted/NR/espresso/peppery/Syrah smokey/smoked meats bit earthy/graphite very attractive NR Syrah flavor e/ light tangy/crunchy tannins; long soft bit hard/metallic strong NR/roasted/espresso/smoked meats bit peppery/w-c rather complex finish w/ light brittle tannins; not a lot of Syrah fruit but lots of interesting NR character and needs several yrs of age.
