Time for a Chinon!

2012 Domaine de Pallus Chinon Les Pensees de Pallus.

Cellared 2 yrs, think around $24 Cdn, 12.5% alc. Decanted one hour, no sediment noted.
Bright color, slight purple, no bricking noted but poor light. On the nose, typical Cab Franc notes but not too much green pepper. Earthy, no ash, bay leaf maybe. Initial entry thought is low tannin, drinks well right now, moderate acidity, quite complex. Currants, berries, "some red fruit" from across the table.
Some herb tones here, slight tobacco, not too much development overnight, held up well I thought. Good buy!
