2009 Cowan Cellars Syrah Dry Stack Vineyard - USA, California, Sonoma County, Bennett Valley (11/16/2017)
Two years since my last bottle of this wine, and it is in a wonderful place. Red fruit, herb, leather and earth tones all mingle together on the nose, and the palate is largely resolved, so that the flavors are carried on the acids that are well balanced with the level of fruit. It's remarkably easy to drink, and did well open 24 hours, holding the same fruit level, and gaining more definition of developed character.
