Ridge Vineyards 2002 Dry Creek Valley "Lytton Springs." 14.4% abv; 75% Zinfandel, 20% Petite Sirah, 5% Carignane. A decent but not great showing: there are some seductive aromatics that include enough licorice amidst the dark fruit, bramble and herb that I would almost have thought it a Nebbiolo if tasting blind; and the wine still seems fresh, and like it has something in reserve -- but whatever that is, it's holding it tightly, and doesn't really let us get more than a few peeks.
I think I have one more bottle.
