Also tried this last night:
1. [b]Ridge Zin Ponzo RRV/SonomaCnty (3% PS; 14.9%; bttld 11/16; 1.5% water addition; Drk: 8/16-8/22: JO) 2015[b]: Med.dark color; strong bright/raspberry/Zin/spicy more DCV than RRV Zin some vanilla/Am.oak light dusty/OV quite spicy/cardammon fairly fragrant quite pretty/attractive nose; lightly tart/tangy very spicy raspberry/Zin/slight blackberry light vanilla/Am.oak slight dusty/OV quite spicy/cardammon/perfumed balanced/elegant quite attractive flavor w/ light ripe tannins; very long bit tart/tangy light dusty/OV bright/vibrant/raspberry/Zin/spicy/cardammon some vanilla/Am.oak light earthy finish w/ light smooth/ripe tannins; speaks more of DCV Zin than the big/bass notes of typical RRV Zin; a big step above EastBench/3Vllys Zin but not at the level of LS Zin; quite an attractive Zin. $31.50 (Z-List)

A wee BloodyPulpit:
1. I've generraly regarded Ponzo as one of the lesser Zins in the Ridge portfolio. This '15 edition struck me as a big step above the EastBench/3Vllys level of their Zins. Still not at the level of the LS or Geyserville or a profound Zin, but a quite attractive Zin in its own right.
