2011 Evening Land Vineyards Pinot Noir Eola - Amity Hills
Wow, so this was a sleeper after all. Earlier bottles had been screechy and ungiving, but suddenly, it's out of the hibernation we all hoped it was in and awake with sweet/bright cherry and cranberry fruit, good spice and balance. Still a very lean style as befits the difficult, cool vintage, but drinks nicely on its own and it's even better with food.

2015 Teutonic Wine Company Pinot Noir Bellpine Vineyard Oregon
Restrained winemaking like Barnaby's at Teutonic really shines in vintages like 2015, taking all the fat out what in other hands could be super ripe and alcoholic. This pinot is splendid, lighter red (like virtually all Teutonics) and lithe but deceptively concentrated (comparatively speaking) with good length. Great balance, great everything.
My wine shopping and I have never had a problem. Just a perpetual race between the bankruptcy court and Hell.--Rogov
