WTN: You are not Morgon, you are not Eymorgon

2009 Jean-Paul Thevenet Morgon Vieilles Vignes - France, Burgundy, Beaujolais, Morgon (12/11/2017)
Figured it would be a good time to check in on this, and I was half right. It was quite enjoyable to drink, with plenty of red fruit, and balanced structure (acid and notable tannin), but it had not yet developed any bottle aged complexity. It was like a slimmed down version (admittedly a good thing) of the wine on release. Patience required.
