1. I have, of course, followed Jonathan&Susan's Cedarville from the very start, when they first showed their wines at HdR many a year ago. The early Viogniers could sometimes be a bit on the fat/porky/overripe side, but I think they've pretty well got it dialed in these days.

CedarvilleVnyd {Viognier} Estate/ElDorado (14.2%; http://www.CedarvilleVineyard.com) Fairplay 2016: Light yellow color; very perfumed pear/Viog light spicy slight chalky very attractive nose; lightly tart elegant/restrained but plenty of flavor bright/pear/Viog light floral/carnations flavor; very long bright/Viog/pear light floral/carnations bit spicy/chalky finish; an altogether pretty/lovely restrained expression of Viog that thumbs its nose at all the DollyParton Viogs out there strutting about in their floozy dresses.
