Shared this wine with John ystrday:
1. CasaRondena Viognier Colorado (12.5%; www.CasaRondena.com) JohnCalvin/NM 2016: Pale yellow color; very light pear/Viog/peach slight earthy rather bland nose; very soft/fat off-dry (0.6%?) light pear/peach/Viog bit earthy rather vapid/watery/dull flavor; short soft/fat light pear/Viog bit earthy/metallic finish; a pretty dull/vapid/porky white that speaks of Viog w/ a whisper. $19.50 (KK)

A wee BloodyPulpit:
1. Presumably these grapes came from the WestSlope/Palisades area of CO. I find JohnCalvin makes some of the better reds here in NM, but this wine is a rare clunker. If had much better Viogniers from several CO wineries.
