Saw this wine recommend by DaveMacEntire in the WSJ:
1. Evolucio Blaufrankisch Weinland/Austria (12.5%; www.BotiqueWines.Info) 2015: Dark color; classic BF/boysenberry/plummy/licorice somewhat earthy/loamy fairly juicy slight peppery attractive nose; soft/lush fairly earthy/loamy/root cellar rather plummy/boysenberry/BF fairly ripe classic Austrian BF flavor w/ light ripe/smooth tannins; med.long soft/rich/lush/fat strong earthy/very loamy strong plummy/boysenberry/BF slight licorice/peppery finish w/ light soft/round tannins; loads of BF character but rather soft & lacking in structure. $11.00 (KK)
_______
A wee BloodyPulpit:
1. This is not a profound nor particularly interesting expression of Austrian BF; but for a drinkable/lip-smackin' expression of BF at a great price, it's tough to beat.
