Château de Ségure Vieilles Vignes 2014 Review

by Tristan B » Tue Jan 16, 2018 9:38 pm

This wine caught my eye at just $17.95. It has hints of cedar wood and sour berries on the nose. On the palate, mulberries and fresh ripe fruit. Also flavours of tangy blueberry and sweet strawberry. A very nice blend of flavour. Finish was lively and refreshing and was easy drinking. Although this wine was good, I prefer sweeter and fuller wines.

No, i believe it's from the Midi region of France.

From my information it comes from Fitou in Languedoc. Whilst I don't know that particular wine, I would say, as a generalisation about the area, that you are unlikely to find many fuller and sweeter wines in France except perhaps for some in S.Rhône.

I would have to agree with you there.
