We had this last night at our tasting w/ a dessert:
1. Gio Domenico Negro Birbet Mosto d'Uva Parzialmente Fermentato Rosso Red Sweet Wine (5%; www.ThePiedmontGuy.com; Shafer/MN; Brachetto) AngeloNegro/Monteau Roero/Piemonte 2015: Light ruby red color w/ small bubbles; very fragrant/perfumed Brachetto/strawberry/raspberry/floral/spicy slight earthy nose; fairly sweet frizzante bright/strawberry/raspberry/alpine strawberry bit earthy beautiful flavor w/ little tannins; very long frizzante rather sweet bright/perfumed/strawberry/alpine strawberry/raspberry/floral/spicy bit earthy finish w/ little tannins; a beautiful expression of Brachetto one step above Nehi Strawberry SodaPop. $14.00/hlf (DiVino)

A wee BloodyPulpit:
1. What an absolutely delicious drinking Brachetto this is. Imagine standing at the top of a hill totally nude and along comes a totally nude JuliaChild; you embrace each other and tuck your face into her ample bosum and then you both roll down this hillside covered w/ alpine strawberries in each other clutches on a hot Summer day. That's this Brachetto. You have to have been there. Sometime I'll share the YouTube Video.
The Malvira Birbet is one of my favorite versions of Brachetto. This one is right up there, maybe a bit more earthy. With charcuterie, this is a match made in heaven.
