Had this laste night w/ my BodegaPrime Apple/Fig tartlett topped w/ Crema and Spicy Candied Bacon Bits:
1. Weingut Schrock BA 50% Weissburgunder/Welscriesling Pradikatswein (12%; TerryTheiseSlctn) Rust/Burgenland 2013: Med.gold color; very strong ripe peach some botrytis/apricotty/peach marmalade slight ripe apple/apple pie/spicy light earthy rather complex beautiful nose; quite tart/tangy fairly sweet strong peach/apple pie some botrytis/apricotty light earthy complex flavor; very long/lingering quite sweet quite tart strong ripe peach/apple pie some botrytis/apricotty slight earthy beautiful complex finish; very strong very ripe peach character w/ modest botrytis at a very attractive price; lots of unresolved sugar and should go another 10-15 yrs. $31.00/hlf (KK)

A wee BloodyPulpit:
1. Heidi Schrock makes some of my favorite wines from the Burgenland. Most of her vnyds are perched above the town of Rust. Though she's not particularly know for her sweet wines, I think they are as fine as any in the Burgenland.
