2012 Meyer Family Cellars Syrah, from Mendocino Cnty. and made by the family that brought you Silver Oak wines. My second of 6 bottles and I likes this one much more than the last. Lots of sour cherry and a mix of herb/earth and tobacco and maybe a touch of raw meat in the background. Tannins still obvious but not overpowering. Better in 5+ years I think. abv of 13.9%
