Tried this o'er the weekend:
1. Dom.Ciringa FosiliniBreg SauvBlanc Stajerska/Slovenia (12%; www.domaine-ciringa.com; CircoVino/Tuscon) Weingut Tement/Kakovostno/Stajerska/Slovenia 2016: Med.light yellow color; very strong herbal/SB/bit weedy/vegetal slight melony/grapefruity light stony/mineral fairly fragrant/attractive nose; bit spritz/CO2 some melony/SauvBlanc/herbal/grapefruity soft/mellow/quiet flavor; med.short quiet melony/SB/bit herbal light stony/earthy/tangy finish w/ slight unclean/barnyardy/rustic aftertaste; a thoroughly unthrilling SauvBlanc; pleasant enough & simple but just that. $22.00 (SFW&S)

A wee BloodyPulpit:
1. I saw this new Slovenian wine on the shelf and noted it was imported by CircoVino/Tuscon, who imports the terrific IngridGroiss wines. The wnry is run by ManfredTement and is located in the village of Ciringa just south of the border w/ the SudSteirmark. The wnry looks thoroughly modern and they own several vnyds acrosss the border in Austrian SudSteirmark. There is a restaurant located there as well. They make a fairly long tableau of Styrian wines that I would like to try more of. This is their entry-level SauvBlanc. Probably won't happen w/o a visit.
