2015 Kutch Chardonnay Sonoma Coast - USA, California, Sonoma County, Sonoma Coast (3/17/2018)
Sampled over the course of three days, this showed a bright, focused lemon rind and under ripe pineapple aromatic, accented by a bit of gun flint or spent firecracker. On the palate the wine stayed focused as a laser beam, while eventually fanning out a bit on the mid-palate and finish. Reminded me of the Ceritas and Arnot-Roberts Chardonnays, and kept the toes of one foot in the old world.
