Chehalem GrunerVeltliner WindyRidgeBlock/RibbonRidge/OR (13.7%; EG; Hrvst: Sept28 & Oct 7; RS: 0.7%; pH: 3.15, TA: 0.67; 500 cs) Newberg 2015: Med.gold color; lightly floral/mango bit stony/chalky slight herbal very quiet nose w/ no GV character; bit off-dry rather tart/tangy bit metallic/steely/chalky/mineral bit herbal/spicy/GWT-like rather quiet flavor; med. tart/tangy/metallic slight herbal finish; a pleasant quiet/minerally white w/ no discernable GV character. $23.00 (KK)

A wee BloodyPulpit;
1. I was surprised to find no recognizable GV character in this wine. Even the least of the Calif GV's speak somewhat of GV. I guess it reminded me more of a PinotBlanc from Styria or AltoAdige more than anything. Not a bad wine, but I was hoping for more.
