Cast about for something to try last night and somehow this popped up:
1. StageLeftCllrs PetiteSirah CentralCoast (15.1%; www.StageLeftCellars.com) PasoRobles 2006: Dark color; very strong ripe/PS/blackberry/boysenberry/bit PR jammy fairly strong pencilly/vanilla/oak bit spicy/peppery/smokey some complex very attractive nose; fairly soft bit alcoholic rich/lush/mouthfilling very strong/PS/peppery/blackberry/plummy/bit jammy strong vanilla/pencilly/Am.oak flavor w/ modest soft/ripe tannins; very long/lingering bit alcoholic/hot very strong plummy/PS/blackberry/bit jammy/peppery strong vanilla/Am.oak finish w/ light ripe/smooth tannins; showing a bit of alcohol but loads of ripe/jammy/PS fruit; starting to dry out just a bit but in great condition; probably at its peak or beyond; lots like the early Rosenblum PS's.

1. StageLeft is the wnry of Melinda Doty. Located in Oakland. I tried a few of her wines 5-6 yrs ago and liked them. Somehow I dropped from their list. I should visit their tasting room when next in Oakland.
