2013 Idlewild Nebbiolo Fox Hill Vineyard - USA, California, North Coast, Mendocino County (4/19/2018)
This has settled into a nice spot for early drinking. Medium red fruit tones, light florals and warm herbal tones are backed by a firm, but not hard tannic backbone. The overall character reminds me more of Carema rather than something around Barbaresco. It's very food friendly, with enough depth to hold its own with a flavorful Indian curry (mild), and structure to cut through richness. I like this now, and probably for the next 5 years or so.
