TJ's BottomFeeding: Barboulot Marsanne-Viognier '17..(short/

Doing some bottom feeding at TraderJoe's this weekend, I found one that had potential I thought:
1. MaisonBarboulot 70% Marsanne-30% Viognier IGP: Pays d'Oc BlackMtns (#14432; 12.5%; www.PlumeRidge.com) Barboulotte de la StJean 2017: Med.gold color; some Marsanne/appley light stony/chalky rather light/simple nose; somewhat soft light tangy/metallic/stony/chalky light appley/Marsanne rather lean/eviscerated/simple flavor; med.short soft fairly tangy/metallic/stony light appley/Marsanne lean/pinched/evisceratede finish; speaks of Marsanne w/ a whisper but no Viog perfume; rather classic Pays d'Oc white w/ little fruit & rather stony/metallic; no bargin at any price. $5.99 (TJ)

1. It wasn't until I got home & noted the Pays d'Oc origin. That would have given me enough info to not try this. That same producer has a Syrah/Cabernet blend. Will be avoiding that one, too.
