WTN: 2009 Hirtzberger Rotes Tor GV Smaragd

I've had 5 or 6 bottles of this since the fall and there has been slight variation in the depth of flavor and interest. (Or maybe in the receptivity of my taste buds, who knows) Either way, this last bottle was one of the best from this run.

Rich golden GV cream with a nutty cast, but also sleek fresh mineral and GV verdant. Hitting on a lot of interesting cylinders there.

Perfect with gnocchi and peas, less so with cucumber yuzu and ginger, but I suppose that could have been predicted. Regardless, this fulfilled many desires with and without food, so it was a real bringer of merriment.

Would like to buy more!
