Tried these two alst night:
1. Lyric by Etude Chard SBCnty (14.1%; NorthCnyn & CatCnyn vnyds; www.EtudeWines.com) Napa 2015: Light gold color; fairly strong lemony/Chard/citric slight melony rather lean/skinny Chard nose; very tart/lean/eviscerated rather citriclemony/Chard/slight melony bit metallic/tangy no-oak flavor; med.long lean/tart/acidic lemony/Chard/citric bit metallic/tangy/stony rather pinched/lean/eviscerated finish; not a lot of fruit & a rather lean/eviscerated expression of SBC Chard; pricey for what it is. $18.00 (AV)

2. Novy Syrah Garys'Vnyd SantaLuciaHighlands (14.5%) 2000: Very dark color w/ scant bricking; some Siduri/smokey/oak/pencilly very strong blackberry/Syrah/blueberry slight citric/SLH/celery seed/herbal quite complex lovely mature nose; lightly tart strong herbal/blackberry/Syrah/blueberry some smokey/Siduri oak/pencilly slight angular/drying flavor w/ light smooth/ripe tannins; very long/lingering strong herbal/SLH Syrah/blackberry/blueberry slight bretty strong Siduri oak/smokey/pencilly light earthy finish w/ light ripe tannins; a lovely SLH Novy Syrah maybe a bit beyond its prime & starting to dry out slightly but offers up a lot of pleasure in a fully mature Syrah.
