More twitprattle from TheBloodyPulpit:
1. Zin 1852: Bill created this wine to celebrate the arrival of Zin in Calif in 1852 and in a style he thought
those first Zins may have been made. It was half whole-cluster ferment in a sealed vessel (hence a bit of
carbonic maceration character) and the other destemmed & fermented normally w/ twice a day punch-downs.
Presumably no or little barrel aging. Bill describes it as Zin w/ a Beaujolais twist. I was expecting
something like the old Montevina Zin Nuevo (a Bojo-like Carbonic Maceration) but it was a long way from that.
I think Bill nailed it with this wine. It's a bright/quaffable/drinkable glou-glou kind of Zin. I hope all
the somms who push the glou-glou Trosseaus and Carignanes will be able to try this.

2. DTR VinGris: I think this VinGris has changed in style some over the yrs. The early ones were more Mourvedre-
based and more like Dom.Tempier in style. With more Grenache in it, it has much more perfume & fragrance and
seems more Provencal in style.
