Poe Pinot Meunier Rose and Da Vero Barbera

by Brian K Miller » Mon Jun 11, 2018 3:35 pm

The new Poe Pinot Meunier Rose is an amazing "food wine". The savory acidity triggers your taste buds (and salivary glands) in a very enjoyable way. A lovely onion skin color adds to the enjoyment! Samantha is an amazing young winemaker!

2012 DaVero Barbera (Dry Creek). A lively, juicy, berry-fruited wine, this Barbera does still have some oak. Nicely balanced between fruit, acid, and savory notes. Quite delicious.

I am still enamored with Pinot Meunier. Red still, sparkling, Oregon and France, it's all good and has the same effect on me. The way friends have talked about different types of pot triggering different moods/reactions, PM seems to make me almost inordinately happy. Would love to try the rose.
