A rather interesting article by SusanGordon in Forbes:
https://www.forbes.com/sites/susangordon/2018/06/15/what-italian-wine-grapes-are-doing-in-washington/#20e56d767150
on the interest in WashState in growing Italian varieties.
I would guess the soils (which the article discusses in detail) are pretty dissimilar from those in Italy and the resulting
wines will be rather different from their Italian counterparts...maybe (gasp) even better??
I most familiar w/ the Nebb from JimHolmes Ciel du Cheval vnyd, which can be quite good, more along the lines
of Valtellina.
