by TomHill » Mon Aug 06, 2018 11:53 am

Tried this last night w/ my salad:
1. Weingut Schwarzbock GelberMuskateller Q Niederosterreich trocken (11.5%; www.Schwarzboeck.At; TerryTheiseSlctn) Rudolf&Anita Schwarzbock/Hagenbrunn 2017: Screwtop opens w/ a strong "pop"; lots of tiny bubbles on the sides agglomerate into larger bubbles on the surface, dissolved CO2; pale yellow near colorless; very strong muscatty/floral/canfied/rosewater slight stony/earthy quite perfumed attractive nose; fairly spritzy/dissolved CO2 rather soft/fat strong muscatty/candied/rosewater/floral somewhat watery/vapid slight stony/tangy flavor; med.short spritzy/dissolved CO2 strong muscatty/floral/rosewater/cotton candy slight tangy/stony finish; a rather attractive muscatty nose but somewhat watery/vapid/underacid on the palate that even levened w/ dissolved CO2 cannot salvage. $23.00 (AV)
