2016 Dönnhoff Norheimer Kirschheck Riesling Spätlese - Germany, Nahe (8/12/2018)
Early days here. As such the dominant character is peach laced with cherry. It’s fairly light on its feet, with only moderate sweetness. Cornelius Dönnhoff seems to be backing off the levels of RS in the portfolio, resulting in more transparent wines, especially in their youth. The sweetness does not mask the bones of the wine as much as it did in some prior vintages.
