WTN: Here Comes the Sonnenuhr

2014 Joh. Jos. Prüm Wehlener Sonnenuhr Riesling Auslese - Germany, Mosel Saar Ruwer (8/19/2018)
Showing quite open for a young Prüm Auslese, this wine has a rich, honeyed style that speaks to the vintage in the Mosel. Ripe peach and also tropical fruit (pineapple, mango) are supplemented by fresh lime zest and bright acidity. As is so often the case with Prüm, the wine is lively, and lighter on its feet than expected from the aromatics. Bright future here, despite being so approachable at such a young age.

Was this with dinner? I love Prum auslesen, but always struggle to figure out what to serve with Auslese.

Yes.

Night one was a medium spicy dal
Night two was pulled pork

Worked really well with both.
