More arpletwit from TheBloodyPulpit:
1. RibollaGialla: Both of these were not particularly good examples of RG from Friuli. There are better ones,
often with a bit of skin-contact.
___________________
2. PetitRouge: A grape variety thought to be indigenous to the Vd'A. Usually used as a base for blends, you don't
often see a pure PR.
___________________
3. Cruvin: PuntaCrena is a Ligurian wnry that works a lot w/ native Ligurian grapes. Crovino is one such grape
indigineous to Liguria. The name comes from "to fall", which refers to the tendenancy of the grapes to fall
to the ground when ripe. Thus a variety that is not in much favor. It is not a recognized grape that is
permitted in any DOC or DOCG wine. Clearly a grape they should be planting all up&down the coast of Calif.

4. Rossese: One of my favorite grapes. It has a lovely fragrance to it not too unlike a DryCreekVlly Zin. Its
origins are thought to be in neighboring Provence, where it is known as Tibouren. There is also a Rossese
Bianco (no relation) that is grown up in the Piemonte.
