Apparently this is a Clos de Papes brand, labeled as vin de table, found at Costco for $18. I had to buy it for sentimental reasons, and regretted it. Dark, almost opaque color, smells OK but not particularly aromatic. Painful, disjointed fight between fruit and a hint of acidity. Can't decide if it wants to be a fruit bomb or a real wine and succeeds at neither. Not any better on the second day. I did finish the bottle but it was touch and go for a while there. One of the worst wines I've had from Costco, and certainly one of the worst values. Oh, well.
