I was so impressed by DarrenDelmore's Syrah that I couldn't resist sharing the Pinot w/ John ystrday:
1. Delmore PinotNoir Sta.RitaHills (13.4%; U; www.DarrenDelmore.com) DarrenDelmore/PasoRobles 2017: Med.dark color; very strong cherry/black cherry/PN/spicy/slight peppery light toasty/oak quite fragrant/perfumed classic SRH PN nose; quite tart/tangy/acid very strong bright/cherry/black cherry/PN/spicy very light toasty/oak lovely flavor w/ modest tangy/brittle tannins; very long/lingering strong bright cherry/PN/black cherry bit spicy/peppery light toasty/oak quite tart/tangy structured/lithe bit lean lovely finish w/ some tangy tannins; a pretty classic SRH Pinot; lots of acidity and badly needs a few yrs and should go out 6-8 yrs; reminds a lot of the Ojais but less Ojai oak and more brightness; reminds some of a SeaSmoke Pinot but less oak; quite an attractive PN and very fairly priced at $45.00

A wee BloodyPulpit:
1. This is the wine of DarrenDelmore, natural marketing guy for TablasCreek. Though he's made some cold-climate Syrah in the past as a Ho-Made wine, this Pinot & Syrah are his first commercial release. It comes from an unidentified Pinot vnyd in the SRH.
