WTN: Dönnhoff from magnum

2007 Dönnhoff Schloßböckelheimer Felsenberg Riesling Felsentürmchen Spätlese - Germany, Nahe (10/12/2018)
From magnum

Initially opens with a healthy dose of petrol/kerosene, but that largely blows off after fifteen minutes. Then the wine shows slightly mellowed fruit, supported by a mix of leafy and mineral tones. It’s only after an hour or so that it blossoms. The fruit freshens, the palate deepens, and ultimately shows that it is barely edging to early maturity. The balance and length suggest a long maturity curve still ahead, especially from the larger bottle. The wine is a prince right now, but poised to be a king.

Nice. I wish I had a cellar full of Donhoff ...
