WTN: Vibrant, dry Alsatian from Trimbach

2014 Trimbach Riesling Alsace Grand Cru Schlossberg - France, Alsace, Alsace Grand Cru (10/17/2018)
The Trimbachs have done it again, this time putting an electrical cable into a lemon. Vibrant citrus, pure minerality and a completely dry palate make for a classic, energizing Alsatian Riesling. This is a stunning debut effort for this house with this site. I am looking forward to following the wine over a decade or more.

I vaguely recall that Trimbach started using Grand Cru designations. Any interesting background story there?

Well at least for this, they purchased 2 hectares of the vineyard a few years ago.
