2014 Dirty and Rowdy Mourvedre Shake Ridge Ranch - USA, California, Sierra Foothills, Amador County (10/26/2018)
Starting to come into its own with still fresh black fruit, and also serious spice and herb. There is the beginning of a leathery/gamey element on the palate - Mourvedre starting to stretch its varietal legs a bit? If this continues on the same path, it should be quite extraordinary in a couple more years. Lots of depth, so no worries about aging. Glad to have a magnum laying in wait. Perhaps five more years for that size bottle.
