2007 Rhys Pinot Noir Alpine Vineyard - USA, California, San Francisco Bay, Santa Cruz Mountains (11/22/2018)
Turkey and Pinot Noir again for Thanksgiving, and the ‘07 Alpine brought the goods. Fresh dark cherry fruit is supplemented with earthy and spicy notes, and a broad, earthy palate presence, that culminates in a long, spicy finish. This is very fine now, though it has more than enough stuffing to go many more years. This seems to only be the beginning of its true maturity curve. Wish I had more.
