Triangle Wine Experience 2019

by JC (NC) » Wed Dec 05, 2018 5:16 pm

Thursday, January 31st is the evening for the wine dinners around the Triangle area at numerous restaurants. After deliberating, I decided on Oro Restaurant and Lounge in downtown Raleigh with wines from Marchesi Antinori with the U.S. Commercial Director and Brand Ambassador on hand. I also considered Vin Rouge in Durham with Louis Latour and Barboursville (VA) wines, Piedmont Restaurant in Durham with Bergstrom wines from Oregon, and Failla wines (Sonoma Coast) at St. James Seafood in Durham. On Friday, some of the wineries represented have tastings at local wine stores and I hope to maybe try Failla wines there. I don't see Hirsch wines represented this year or Lioco who were at the wine dinner at Fearrington Village last year. I have been to about three previous TWE wine dinners at Vin Rouge which usually feature French wines. Will report back after the event. Some dinners are already sold out, and Oro only has two seats left.

Lots of fun, JC, will look forward to your report.
My wine shopping and I have never had a problem. Just a perpetual race between the bankruptcy court and Hell.--Rogov
