2012 Selbach-Oster Zeltinger Schlossberg Riesling Kabinett - Germany, Mosel Saar Ruwer (12/6/2018)
Three years since my last bottle, and this is beginning to open up again, in a very early glimpse of what it will become. It appears that it will become bottled joy. Riesling angels dance on the head of a pin, and spread fruit, stone, smoke and a hint of petrol in their wake. It’s light and elegant, but full of flavor. It’s a clear picture of the Mosel, and the stony depths of the Schlossberg.

Nice!
Like sound of "beginning to open up"
I was eyeing some 2012s other days (SO Anrecht, Zilliken Rausch Spat) and wondering how tight they would be

I would expect the Zilliken to be pretty tight. The Selbach might be OK. Their wines have always been on the friendlier side.
