WTN: Unusual but Interesting Chardonnay

2015 Sandhi "Bentrock" Chardonnay; yah I fell for the RMP 96 pt. score and a good price but do not know what to make of this white. There is great acid/fruit?? balance but there is a lot more going on that fruit, which is mild pear. I like the body/viscousity of this light yellow wine but the non-fruit flavors are strange. There is a strong flavor a little like hazelnut , maybe mixed in with some herb. I think the flavor profile will (I hope) hit me at some point but maybe not. I would love to hear from others who have tried this Chardonnay and what their thoughts are. My first of 6 bottles and will let the rest sleep for a year or 2 hoping it will age with some grace.
