WTN: Two Whites O'er The Weekend...(short/boring)

Tried these two w/ Susan & friend on Fri night dinner:
1. Musella Fibio PinotBianco IGT: Verona (13%; NorthBerkeleyImports; Demeter; www.musella.it/en/) San Martino Buon Albergo 2016: Med.light gold color; rather appley/light melony very light pencilly/oak light spicy/nutmeg light stony unusually fragrant for PB nose; bit soft rather rich/lush some melony/appley/bit lemony/PB very light pencilly/oak slight earthy/stony very unusual PB flavor; very long rich/lush/bit soft strong appley/melony/peachy light pencilly/oak slight stony/earthy finish; very atypical of Italian PB; unusually rich/lush & not that usual pinched/lean character of PB; quite a good if a bit boring PB if a bit pricey. $34.00 (AV)

2. Copain LesVoisins Chard AndersonVlly (13.0%; www.CopainWines.com) Healdsburg 2016: Med.gold color; some toasty/oak light melony/appley/Chard bit shy/austere slight earthy pleasant enough nose; rather tart some pencilly/toasty/oak rather melony/Chard/lemony pleasant flavor; med.long appley/melony/Chard/lemony some toasty/pencilly/oak pleasant finish; a rather pleasant enough Chard but just that; nothing really distinctive or special...a bit of an Oakland wine. $30.00 (AV)

A wee BloodyPulpit:
1. Musella: Quite different from most Italian PB's because of its richness & texture. A bit in an International style and not as interesting as many Italian/Friuli/Sudtirol PB's. Reminds me a lot of the old Chalone PB's w/o the strong oak signature.
______________
2. Copain: Interesting that the Copain WebSite makes no mention of WellsGuthrie, founder. Current winemaker is Ryan Zepaltas.
