WTN: Stony Hill Cabernet

by David M. Bueker » Tue Feb 05, 2019 9:01 pm

2013 Stony Hill Cabernet Sauvignon - USA, California, Napa Valley (2/5/2019)
I opened this much too early, but as I had never had a Stony Hill Cabernet, it seemed worth the experiment. The promise of the wine was undeniable, with a concentrated core of balanced fruit and ripe tannin. With a rich beef stew the wine did provide some pleasure, but it was much more about the future than the present. Fans of classically styled Napa Cabernet should stock up on this wine.
