WTN: Hit the Rodez Jack

NV Eric Rodez Champagne Grand Cru Cuvée des Grands Vintages - France, Champagne, Champagne Grand Cru (2/16/2019)
November 2017 disgorgement.

Very winey, with deep red fruit, woodsy, earthy tones, and a lifted, bright finish. It reminds me more than a little of Krug, but with more fruit, but not quite as much depth. Given the price it’s a really good value, and also a great match with gougeres.

Great title. Never had this producer. Hey, a question. Do champagnes suffer travel shock? Just got a shipment of (vintage) Krugs and I'm dying to open one.

Not so much. A couple of days should get them settled down from being a shook up can of Coke.

Good, what I figured.
