2016 Littorai Pinot Noir Les Larmes - USA, California, North Coast, Anderson Valley (7/13/2019)
I opened a bottle of this a year or so ago, and it was too unfocused and rather grapey. Tonight’s bottle had knit together, and settled down, allowing some glimpse of the structure, which gave the wine a much better balance. Dark red fruit, hints of cinnamon and licorice, with fresh acidity, and a long finish that highlighted the spice. Nicely done.
