We had this last night w/ our Colomba from DarrellCorti:
1. Bedrock Semillon MonteRossoVnyd/SonomaVlly (Lacryma Montis/Botrytized; 12.0%; RS: 20.6 Brix; SaH: 40 Brix) 2011: Deep golden bronze/slight browning color; very intense figgy/fig newton/Semillon some botrytis/peachy/apricotty some cedary/pencilly/Fr.oak quite complex some Sauternes-like nose; fairly tart/acidic/sharp very strong figgy/Semillon/fig newton quite sweet bit hot/late hrvsty strong botrytis/apricotty/peachy slight earthy fairly complex flavor; very long/lingering quite tart/bit acidic very sweet strong Semillon/figgy/fig newton some botrytis/apricotty bit hot/late hrvsty cedary/pencilly/oak complex finish; lots of very ripe Semillon but the botrytis a bit on the quiet side; a beautiful complex dessert wine somewhere between a passito and a Sauternes; should go at least another 10 yrs.

A wee BloodyPulpit:
1. I recall this wine being very Sauternes like upon release. It's evolving in a very interesting way away. More like a Barsac, a bit like a LaTourBlanche.
