WTN: Two ManciniVnyd Reds....(short/boring)

Compared these two at dinner last night:
1. Ridge ManciniRanch RRV/SonomaCnty (73% Carignane/27% Zin; 14.1%; 10 brls; Drk: 12/20-??: JO) 2019: Med.dark color; rather strong classic Ridge Carignane/black cherry bit dusty/OV/coarse/bit rustic some vanilla/Ridge oak slight blackberry/Zin bit complex nose; quite tart/tangy some black cherry/Carignane fairly dusty/OV some Ridge/vanilla/oak bit rustic/coarse Carignane flavor w/ modest bitey tannins; long tart/tangy/bitey rather black cherry/Carignane/some earthy some Ridge oak/vanilla rather coarse/rough finish w/ some bitey tannins; just another ho-hum Ridge expression of Carignane not at the level of the Buchignani; rather unthrilling & don't see it going anywhere. $36.00 (ATP)

2. Carlisle Zin ManciniRanch/RRV/SonomaCnty (15.1%; Plntd: 1922; + Carignane/PetiteSirah/Abouriou/GrandNoir; 340 cs) 2018: Med.dark color light for a Carlisle; very strong blackberry/Zin/RRV peppery/spicy rather dusty/OV fairly high-toned Zin some toasty/oak/smokey fairly complex lovely nose; some tart/tangy very strong blackberry/Zin/spicy/bit RRV peppery strong toasty/smokey/oak rather dusty/OV bit earthy flavor w/ modest bitey tannins; very long bit tart/tangy strong blackberry/Zin/spicy strong blackberry/Zin/spicy/bit RRV peppery some toasty/oak fairly dusty/OV/bit earthy bit complex finish w/ light bitey tannins; a bit on the lighter side for a Carlisle Zin but quite nice expression of Mancini Zin that can use a few more yrs.

A wee BloodyPulpit:
1. The Mancini is a new addition to the Ridge portfolio. Not a particularly distinguished offering I think. I think KurtBeitler/Boheme does the best job w/ those grapes.
