AlderYarrow: Domaine Curtet/Savoie

by TomHill » Tue Aug 17, 2021 4:11 pm

Interesting article in Vinography by Alder Yarrow on the Savoie wines of Domaine Curtet:
https://www.vinography.com/2021/08/the-forest-dreams-of-the-savoie-vine-the-wines-of-domaine-curtet
who sounds a bit like he farms by Fukuoka, or one step beyond that. He's working w/ an interesting selection
of Savoie varieties. He wants to eventually grow all the genetic relatives of Mondeuse. He rejects many of the
tenents of farming BioDynamic as contrived & artificial. He's a "natural" winemakers but rejects the idea of any
mousey character in his wines. That's a bit shocking.

Anybody tried the Curtet wines?? And?? Production is only around 2500 cs. Don't know if they're imported into the US or not.
