2005 Arcadian Syrah Stolpman Vineyard Santa Ynez Valley
Dark rich color with dark berry fruit and a hint of jamminess. Past peak but not over the hill, and consistent with notes over the last two years from other CTers: drink sooner than later.

2014 I Veroni Chianti Rùfina Riserva Quona Sangiovese
Bottle variation has been rather severe in the nine bottles of a case consumed so far. Last night's was rather rough: very little fruit, dried out. Time and aeration were of no help.

2018 Alois Lageder Schiava Alto Adige - Südtirol
Stunning light ruby color, nose of roses and chicken broth (but not H2S, which many complained of), reticent crunchy red fruits and brilliant acidity. Absolutely needs food. We drank it because it worked okay with our tomato-braised chicken, but would not buy again.
My wine shopping and I have never had a problem. Just a perpetual race between the bankruptcy court and Hell.--Rogov
