  • 2011 Patricia Green Cellars Pinot Noir Singularity - USA, Oregon, Willamette Valley (11/24/2021)
2011 Oregon Pinot Noir? Well despite the vintage reputation this is quite lovely. It starts with aromas of flowers and spice (I thought whole cluster, but Jim says no), alongside subtle red cherry fruit. Medium bodied yet full flavored on the palate, where the fruit asserts itself, but in a very dry, persistent manner. There’s all sorts of additional nuances, from licorice to dry herbs and a finishing note of vanilla. It’s a pretty wine that also won’t take any sh** from anyone.

David/Others, how would you compare this Patricia Green PN vintage to a few more recent ones with better reputations? A few sources rated 2015, 2016, 2017 much better than 2011.

Have several vintages of Patricia Green PN in the cellar. Plus a stray Chardonnay 2017, Dundee Hills.
