Blard & Fils Micraster AOC: Vin de Savoie Abymes (50 yr old Jacquere vines; 6 mo. in SS tanks; 11.5%; StorkWineCo; www.StorkWineCompany.com; Garber & Co.Imprts/Topanga 2020: Pale yellow near colorless; quite fragrant floral/carnations/Alpine flowers/edelweiss some stony/mineral classic fragrant Jacquere nose; quite tart/tangy fairly mineral/stony quite fragrant/floral/carnations/Alpine flowers lightly spicy bit lean/austere/lightweight bright/zippy flavor; long tart/tangy/bit steely stony/mineral some floral/Alpine flowers/carnations quite pretty finish; a classic bright/floral Jacquere at a very good price. $19.50 (KK)

Dom.Famille Montessuit Jonquille Terroir d'Ayze AC: Vin de Savoie Ayze (Vieilles Vignes; MeBaD; Gringet grape; 12.0%; Jeffrey Alpert Slctns/Tenafly/NJ) 2019: Med.dark gold color; lightly earthy/stony some appley/floral/dandelions/apple blossom/gardenias bit quiet/low-key bit complex quite attractive nose; quite tart/tangy/bit steely/metallic rather floral/apple blossom/gardenias/appley bit earthy/stony some spicy bit rich/lush quite attractive flavor; very long/lingering rather appley/floral/apple blossom light earthy/stony fairly rich some complex finish; rather rich & textured for a Savoie; not a profound Savoie but quite interesting & should age well for several yrs. $35.00 (KK)

1. Gringet is a rare variety in the Savoie. It's origins are unknown, but DNA indicates it's related to Altesse. I liked this Gringet quite a bit.
