  • 2019 Desire Lines Mourvèdre Experimental Series #5 Bedrock Vineyard - USA, California, Sonoma County, Sonoma Valley (5/16/2022)
Pop and pour, but no worries, as it was gushing from the start. Dark red fruit, meaty undertones and a garrigue savory tone marked this as both Mourvèdre and Desire Lines. Little bit hard to specifically place it as Bedrock Vineyard, largely because it’s the first varietal Mourvèdre wine I have ever tried from the site. Plenty of material and back end structure to watch this progress for several years. Not that I am likely to be that patient.
